For the occasion of the birthday of Swedish cult director Jonas Wolcher, he has released his violent action movie Dragonetti for free. Watch it here for the coming week.
The not-always-honoured tradition of giving gifts on your own birthday is upheld by Jonas Wolcher as he lets you watch the Italian cut of his exploitation actioner Dragonetti: The Ruthless Contract Killer for free for a week, from his birthday on April 15th to April 22nd. The film is, according to Wolcher, “one of the most craziest and violent action movies ever produced in Sweden”. The director has also made Cannibal Fog and Die Zombiejäger and produced Hermit: Monster Killer so he should know a thing or two about gritty low budget genre movies.
Claudio Dragonetti is an Italian assassin, one of the best in the industry. He is hired by a local mafia boss in Gothenburg, Ivan. He needs Dragonetti’s services to get rid of two competitors. The job is nothing special, really. This is something that Dragonetti has done many times before. But this time something goes wrong and he accidentally kills the wrong people. This is appreciated neither by the Mafia nor the Swedish authorities, and Dragonetti soon finds that he is chased from two directions. But Dragonetti has a trump card which none of his enemies know: He has signed a pact with Satan, a pact that makes him almost invulnerable. All he had to leave in return was his own immortal soul.
The film is in Swedish with English subtitles and can be watched here or on Vimeo until April 22nd.
