The Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game & Film Convention

The Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game & Film Convention is a regularly scheduled convention for horror, sci-fi and fantasy culture, organized in Sweden by Isberg Entertainment. The next event takes place in Stockholm from 27 – 28 November, 2010.

The convention offers special celebrity guests, exhibitions, photo sessions and sale booths from the world of genre cinema, TV, games and comics. Guests this year include Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Kristanna Loken (Terminatrix), Edward Furlong (Terminator 2), and Andrew Sachs (Manuel in Fawlty Towers). You can also browse a huge exhibition of actual film props from Star Wars, V, Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Aliens, various James Bond movies, Stargate, the Indiana Jones series, etc.

Present at the convention will also be characters from the Star Wars universe; Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers and Biker Scouts will mingle with the audience, and you’ll be able to shoot pics of yourself and troopers from the 501st Legion against a Star Wars backdrop.

A Lego exhibition, card game tournament, action figure makers, DVD shops and comic book publishers will also display their products and showcase their worlds.

If that isn’t enough, you may also be cast in a movie! The world’s biggest fan-made movie, Gatekeeper, will be made in Sweden and Norway over the next three years, and the producers are casting at the convention. Contact the people at the Gatekeeper booth, and you may be included in a movie which has also cast actors from Star Trek and Star Wars.
