Insane hits DVD

Swedish direct-to-video slasher Insane becomes available on DVD on October 31, 2010, Halloween night. The movie is directed by Anders Jacobsson, who previously made the cult classic Evil Ed.

This time Jacobsson has not made a splatter comedy, but a dark story cooked together with other people from the Swedish horror scene, with a classic 80s slasher feeling. Sarah (Johanna Leamo) is searching for her sister Jenny (Alida Morberg) who dissapeared two weeks earlier. After a long day of searching and driving, Sarah decides to rest and spend the night at the next place on her checklist. She finds the hotel, where she meets a mysterious but friendly owner (Lars Bethke).  He claims he has not seen the lost sister, but Sarah feels something is not right and starts to look around in the hotel. But the more she searches, the more she regrets ever taking that roomo at the hotel….

Insane is directed by Anders Jacobsson and Tomas Sandquist under producer Henrik Koelman for Sick Films. The region 2 DVD offers 16:9 anamorphic widescreen and DD 5.1 surround sound. Extras are behind-the-scenes, a commentary track, trailers, screensavers and an Easter egg. The spoken language is English, with Nordic and English subtitles. Feature duration: 87 minutes.
